In this fast-paced world that we live in those who can’t keep up with the latest in science and technology are usually relegated to the sidelines. Though I surmise that this has been the trend from way back as history will attest to this fact, as countries who are leader in technology are also the richest and most powerful. So it is not also far-fetch that it also applies within the society as those who can afford the latest gadget has an edge over those who cannot.
Though from my experience these folks who are not tech-savvy also has an edge especially knowledge they gained from the school of hard knocks. Take for example the guy in the photo, he doesn’t know anything about computers or the latest gadgets nor does he knows anything about computing the dimensions he needs for the steel door he is making but he was able to make them within the time frame required and with outstanding quality workmanship.
Each one of us has a place in this world, you may have a doctorate degree but I bet there is something that a common folk can still teach you. So let us respect each others’ capability and it would be better if we learn to share and teach what may be our expertise.
